FAQ

The Flight Stand 60 comes with a 1-year limited warranty. Extended warranty and MRO packages are available upon request. See our complete Terms of Service for full details and conditions.

Tyto Robotics Flight Stands are calibrated using a process inspired by ASTM standards and adapted for UAV propulsion testing. Matrix generation is inspired by elements of ASTM E74 and E2624, using Tyto-developed metrology equipment to apply controlled thrust and torque loads representative of typical UAV test conditions. This includes over 20 loading points for Standard systems and over 200 for Pro systems across the full measurement range. Calibration is then performed using Tyto’s internal methodology, based on dead weights and precision load cells across representative portions of the measurement range. See the datasheet for full details.

The Flight Stand 60 kit includes: test stand hardware, 1 engine mounting plate, 1 force measurement unit, 1 Flight Stand DAQ, 1 sync hub, 1 fuel flow sensor, 1 fiber optic RPM sensor, 4 thermocouples temperature sensors, 1 airspeed pressure sensor, complimentary software for system control and data acquisition, and a complimentary training course that covers stand setup and propulsion testing theory.

Engines, propellers, and starters are not included and must be sourced by the customer.

The Flight Stand 60 kit includes a motor mounting plate that is used to mount your motor on the Stand. The user marks and drills their motor’s screw pattern on the plate. The plate can then be mounted on the Flight Stand Force Measurement Unit (FMU) using the dampers provided.

Our test stands are not designed for use in water.
