Nautical Wings Developing Next Gen Propulsion

Shiv Varun Singh Rajput, Founder and CEO of Nautical Wings Aerospace, had this to say about how Nautical Wings is using their Flight Stand 15 and 50 to develop next gen propulsion systems:

“Hi guys, I’m Shiv from Nautical Wings Aerospace. At Nautical Wings we’re on a mission to electrify global aviation with our next gen propulsion solutions.

So today I have with me our next gen axial flux motors, first in the market for the drone industry. Very high power density and very high torque. And with me is our standard series propellers. It comes from 14 inch all the way up to 40 inches in size, and this is one of the blades that we have, it’s a 30 inch fixed propeller of the high thrust series. This one is a hummingbird class propulsion system, designed for best hover performance and efficiency.

Now when I talk about efficiency, how do you calculate that? How do you gather efficiency - that is where this guy comes in. It is a Tyto Robotics test stand thrust stand. And this, you can mount your propeller, put a motor over here, test it out and get the performance numbers.

Compare side by side and it will give you accurate data. You will have clarity on which propulsion system you should choose for your UAV.”
