The partnership will make both companies’ test solutions more accessible to UAV developers worldwide, through four key initiatives:

1. Global Distribution

Tyto Robotics will now distribute WindShape products worldwide, including wind walls, wind tunnels, the WindProbe measurement system, and their associated software. With a distributor network spanning more than a dozen countries and direct sales managed by its Canadian headquarters, Tyto is positioned to bring WindShape’s technology to a broader global market.

2. Integration with the Flight Stand Testing Ecosystem

A central objective of the agreement is to enhance propeller testing through the integration of WindShapers with Tyto’s Flight Stand technology, which includes hardware, electronics, and software for motor and propeller characterization. The Flight Stand product line features thrust stands, dynamic propeller balancing software, and distributed electric propulsion testing capabilities.

“We’re excited to announce that, starting today, users can control their WindShaper directly through Tyto’s Flight Stand software”, said Tyto Robotics CTO, Dominic Robillard.

This new integration brings Flight Stand and WindShaper equipment together in a single, seamless platform. Users can download it now on Tyto Robotics’ website.

3. Expanded Educational and Training Resources

Tyto Robotics is committed to supporting developers with in-depth tutorials and educational content on WindShapers and aerodynamic testing more broadly. Articles and videos are already available on Tyto’s website and social channels, covering topics such as UAV in-flight ice accretion and propeller performance under varying airspeeds.

Looking ahead, Tyto also plans to highlight new WindShaper applications beyond UAVs, including automotive, biological, and infrastructure testing.

4. A One-Stop Shop for UAV Test Equipment

By integrating WindShapers into its ecosystem, Tyto Robotics advances its mission to provide UAV developers with a complete, high-quality suite of testing tools. Developers can now source everything they need, from prototype validation to production testing, in one place within a single, intuitive environment.

“By combining our technologies, we are giving UAV developers worldwide a unified ecosystem of test solutions that accelerates innovation and ensures reliable validation,” said Charles Blouin, President of Tyto Robotics.
